Easter Egg Appeal supports local community

This Easter, Tesco Chineham is hoping to spread some Easter joy amongst local children who otherwise may not receive an Easter Egg.

Their Easter Egg Appeal will run until 15th March, with shoppers being invited to leave their egg donations in one of the trolleys behind the tills at Tesco.

Jane Stubbs, Community Champion at Tesco Basingstoke, said: ‘Last year the community really rallied behind our Easter Appeal and we were able to donate over 640 Easter eggs which were distributed amongst 21 local community groups. Due to the cost-of-living crisis, the Appeal is more relevant than ever, and we hope to be able to support even more local families in being able to celebrate Easter.’

Chineham Shopping Centre Management have helped launch the Appeal, kicking off donations with the first 50 Easter eggs. Chris Carter, Centre Manager at Chineham Shopping, said: ‘We are delighted once again to be supporting families with Tesco over the Easter period, and helping the local community is a key focus for us at Chineham Shopping.’
