New manager takes reins at Chineham District Centre

The owners of Chineham District Centre, Tellon Capital, have appointed a new centre manager to help take the centre forward and prepare for their enhancement plans. James Wall has taken over from Hugh Davidson, who left his post last month, and brings with him a strong background in the retail sector.

James joins the centre from Barrington Sports, having previously also held a number of positions within Marks & Spencer, including Store Manager roles as well as Commercial Manager at the company’s flagship Marble Arch store.

As centre manager, James is responsible for liaising with current tenants, the day to day management of the centre, and creating an attractive and welcoming environment for customers.

His appointment comes at an exciting time for the centre, with owners Tellon Capital having submitted a planning application to Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council to enhance the centre with the addition of new shops, restaurants/cafes, a healthcare/business facility and leisure facilities, together with extensive landscaping and new public spaces.

Speaking following his appointment, James said: “I am delighted to join the team at Chineham District Centre and look forward to meeting customers and existing businesses to understand how we can drive the centre forwards.

“With the proposed enhancement on the horizon and a strong range of current businesses, the centre has a bright future ahead which I am excited to be a part of. There is a fantastic community atmosphere at present and our proposals seek to build upon this to make the centre a destination for families moving forward.”
